Long-lasting infrared technology
Because of its high stability and resistance to contamination, the Dräger infrared sensor in general can be used for up to eight years. This cutting-edge technology significantly reduces ownership costs because less sensor replacement is needed. In addition, infrared sensor calibration is only needed every 12 months thereby reducing maintenance costs.
Single or dual sensor - accurate measurement results
The IR Ex infrared sensor enables measurement of explosive, combustible hydrocarbons within a smaller limit of explosive material. The infrared IR CO2 sensor, with a measurement resolution of 0.01 vol%, provides safe and precise measurements and warnings about toxic concentrations of carbon dioxide in the surrounding air. For applications where reliable explosive and CO2 measurements are needed, the benefits of both can be achieved with dual sensors (Two IR CO2 / Ex).

This small and reliable gas detector is suitable for use in areas designated as zone 0, which is an area where explosive atmospheres are always suspected - also with Dräger X-am® Pump and Dräger X-zone 5500.
