Dräger Pac 8500 can be relied upon to provide reliable and accurate readings at all times in extreme conditions. A qualified sensor with a low t-90 response time guarantees fast reactions. In addition to standard alarms, additional alarm threshold values can be specified for TLV® * and STEL *.
Pac 8500 has data and event loggers to record concentration and events as well as dates and times. Data can be loaded onto a computer via an interface for further processing.

Change to a dual gas detection device with dual sensors
Your single gas detection device can be a two gas device when using dual sensors. The Dräger Pac 8500 series offers the following sensor combinations: hydrogen sulfide with carbon monoxide or oxygen with carbon monoxide. Dual sensors are capable of detecting even lower concentrations - all in the same handheld device. Measuring two gases simultaneously also reduces the downtime. You can take a vol.% Oxygen measurement and a ppm carbon monoxide measurement together with just one sensor.
Measurement of carbon monoxide greatly reduces cross sensitivity
In industries with carbon monoxide that need to be measured with hydrogen as a background gas, the measured value for carbon monoxide can be mistaken due to cross sensitivity. Thanks to the special CO sensor compensated for hydrogen from Dräger, this cross sensitivity to hydrogen is greatly reduced in displaying carbon monoxide.
Ease of handling thanks to clear user guidelines
The D light indicates if the device's functionality has been tested and is ready to use. The case is also designed with safety in mind: each Dräger Pac 8500 sensor variant has a clear and striking color code, thus minimizing the possibility of errors.
